This past weekend was the annual Ice Cream Crank-off downtown. We decided it would be fun until we got there and saw the very very long line of people waiting to pay to eat the samples of ice cream and the huge mob of people eating ice cream. It also took place in the middle of our downtown area being renovated so there was construction "objects" everywhere. The girls did end up getting some balloons made to look like butterflies so it wasn't a total loss in the heat! Daddy decided it would be a lot better (and probably cheaper) to just make our own ice cream! The girls took there first trip down to the lake to fish afterwards. S really does a good job and K....well she likes someone else to cast it and then she reels it in... "my do it all by myself!" Only daddy caught a fish but the girl's thought that was pretty cool!
